How to customize the web app

Daily Connect allows you to customize your homepage and labels according to the needs of individual classrooms. By customizing the homepage, you can add,  remove and reorder the categories that will be available for each classroom. Customizing labels allows you to change the title of each entry as well as how such an entry will appear on a child’s timeline. 

In this article we will explain how to: 

  • Customize the homepage

  • Customize labels


Follow the steps below to customize a classroom’s homepage:

  1. Log into the account of the appropriate classroom.



  1. Select Customize on the homepage or navigate to Settings Child Care Settings Customize Home.




  1. Select/deselect the categories that you would like to appear on the homepage, and deselect the categories that you want to remove from the homepage. 


  1. To apply these changes to other classrooms, select Copy to other rooms


  1. Select the rooms that should receive the customization as well then select Copy.



Follow the steps below to customize labels:

  1. Log into the account of the appropriate classroom 


  1. Navigate to Customize > Customize Labels

   



  1. Select the entry category you would like to rename.




  1. Next, you can change the category title and change how such an entry is written when it appears on a child’s timeline. 




  1. You can also apply these customizations to all classrooms or copy them to specific classrooms by choosing Apply to all classrooms or Copy to other rooms.


  1. Save your changes.
