The staff at your childcare center can either have an Administrator or a Teacher account.
Accounts with administrator access have special privileges in Daily Connect. There are 4 different administrator levels:
- Subscription Administrator (Childcare Owner): users can create new childcare centers, have administrator privileges for all centers, and have finance administrator and education administrator privileges. They also have access to the Parent Billing and the Staff Management sections.
- Childcare Administrator (Director): users can change childcare settings and add classrooms, teachers, and children. They have access to all rooms and children in the childcare, as well as the Parent Billing section and Staff Management sections.
- Finance Administrator (Accounting/Bookkeeping Staff): users can view attendance reports, cancel/upgrade subscriptions, change payment information, and view monthly invoices. These users also have access to the parent billing section to send invoices to parents and receive payments.
- Education Administrator (Learning & Development Director): these users can view all children's information in all locations and create lesson plans for all locations.
Teacher accounts only have access to children in the classrooms they're assigned to. They can view all information about those children and create new profiles for new children. Teachers do not have access to the childcare settings, billing information, or staff information, and cannot view the information of any children outside of their classroom.
Teachers can clock in and clock out of work using their PIN code or QR code. These times will appear in the Time Card report. Administrators cannot clock-in and won't appear in the Time Card report.
To change the type of account a member of staff has, click on their name, either in the Staff > Teachers page or in Staff > Administrators, then click on the Roles dropdown under the 'Personal Info' section.
